Well thought that I had cracked our future spending plan. Put £583 away in a stocks and shares ISA each month and in 5 years we should have enough to pay off our mortgage. With share prices set to fall soon this will be great as we can buy lots of cheap shares and hopefully the price will increase again in 5 years when we want to cash the in. Sounds like we have it all sorted doesn't it!
What we haven't alloed for is any large expenses. Our car has broken down and we have no idea how much it could cost. If it needs a new electric battery it could cost £1000 just for the battery, lets just hope it is something cheaper or I will be working nights to cover the bills.
