Phone Voting

With the final of Strictly Come Dancing on tomorrow lots of people will be voting by phone or text for their favourite dancers. I just cannot understand why people spend their money on such telephone calls (unless they are related to the dancers!) It seem sto me to a great way to cut down on spending, especially at this time of the year when we are all hard up and I just cannot understand why people waste money in this way.
