I have just requested my second payment of $50 from >AW Surveys. Thank you to everyone that signed up as my referral and earned me $1.25 each. I bought referrals too from Buyrefs for about $0.32 per referral (actually using commission I had earned) which was well worth it.

Clixsense

This month I have earned over $13 in my Clixsense account. It is more than I earned last month which is great. I am going to accumulate my earnings until I reach $50 so because they only pay by cheque and it costs me £4 to cash them. This way I will not pay so much in bank charges. I managed to get some new referrals this month and earned some $0.10 sign up bonuses from them as well as a bonus $5 from one of my referrals who upgraded their membership - which was fantastic. The rest was earned from me clicking ads, which just shows how much money can be paid from doing something very simple.

Even more payments!

Yesterday I was paid by Smorty and Berrymails as well as Jem Investments and Bucks 4 Banners. This has taken my monthly earnings for June up to over £375. This is fantastic, much more than I had expected at the beginning of the month. I am hoping that I can keep increasing my income month after month. It would be fantastic if I could do that, discovering more and more ways to make good money online. My goal is to earn more money a month than my husband and eventually to earn enough so that we can pay off the mortgage and he can give up work. I am getting carried away of course, as I still have the bathroom to pay for before I can start paying more money off the mortgage but I think it is good to hav emy goals written down in as many places as possible.

I have decided to no longer partake in Berrymails. It is a great site and pays quickly. However, the pay is very low and I think I can spend my time better doing things which pay more money. It is a pay to read email site and in order to get paid you have to do searches on the websites that are sent to you. The emails have a 30 second timer and you get paid 0.25 or 0.5 cents per email. I did find it a great site to start me off with earning money online.

The best Place to Buy Referrals

Everyone seem sto be after getting referrals these days. There are companies that sell guaranteed signups and many money makingw ebsites actually sell referrals for their own sites. But which seems to be the best? I have bought guaranteed signup for many sites using Buyrefs and have found them to be useful. They are pretty cheap and so if you need referrals to win a referral competition or if a site is offering cash for each referral that signs up (such as AW Surveys which offers $1.25 per referral) then buying guaranteed signups can be great. The only problem with this is that only a small percentage tend to remain active on the site once they have joined. This is probably because the company gets people to signup by offering them a cash incentive, they sign up for this money not because they are interested in the website.

I have bought referrals from Adbux. These are people that have signed up to the website without being referred to anyone, the website then sells them. I feel that this has been much more sucessful for me. because the members have signed up out a genuine interest in the website, they are more likley to remain active. I have found that out of the 75 referrals I bought just 15 are not active. In the past I bought 35 guaranteed signups for a particlular website and none of them were active. I have been more sucessful with some of my other purchases but I still feel that the Adbux purchase was the best value for money.

Is GPT Worth the Effort?

There are so many Get Paid To sites out there at the moment, they all initially look good, but once you have clicked all the, read all teh emails or signed up to all of the offers you are normally still a long way below the minimum payout level and youhave probably been working at a rate of less that $1 per hour. It is pretty poor pay.

There are many of us who have no choice but to work form home and this type of site can bring in a significant income. I have found that it is best not to spread yourself too thinly. Try out a few sites and see which is best for you. When you discover new ones, do not be afraid to try them, but if they are not earning much for you, do not return to them.

I have picked a few sites which I really like. Ones which I know pay out, have friendly admin and are not too time consuming. I also try to pick sites which pay a high percentage of referrals earnings. Then I concentrate on getting referrals for these sites, as well as continuing to earn on it myself. This means that I am, in essence, getting a team of people to work for me therefore increasing my earning potential.

Once you have decided on a site, do not be afraid to advertise your referral link. A there are so many new GPT sites about at the moment, there is a lot of competition. This means that advertising can be very cheap. Advertise across quite a few sites to maximise your exposure and make sure you tell all your friends and advertise on your own website / blog if you have one.

Google Adsense - How to Increase Income

I have Google Adsense advertisements on all of my websites but it seems to take a long time to earn much money from the advertisements. I am aware of some websites which rely solely on adsense for their income and I do wonder how they manage to even generate enough money to cover the cost of their domain name. I have tried changing the placement of ads and the colour but it does not seem to have made much difference. In my opinion it is generating more traffic that is more important than changing the placement and look of the advertisements. I am working hard on trying to increase traffic to the site at the moment so I will report back if I think that it has incresed by Google Adsense income.

Adbux developments

I thought that I would just update those of you who do not use the Adbux forum what the latest developments are. The Adbux admin has posted this message:

I've been staying really busy during the week (even the weekends) finishing up the messenger service for premium users and the new advertising program (which is going to ROCK!).

Premium members will also see a new feature coming after the messenger launches that will alert them of new ads by playing a sound (will also have the option of a soundless alert). This will help those who have invested into AdBux, get more money from AdBux by being notified when new ads are added.

I often browse the forums to read some of the posts and I see a few about people complaining of the lack of ads. Well, there really isn't a lack of ads, it's just a lack of time the ads are remaining active. For instance, a month ago, a 500 visit ad would last 5-10 minutes. Now, a 500 visit ad is lucky to stay active for 1 minute. This is because of the huge amount of users that are online at any given time which is 2,500-3,000 on average. Yesterday, we had a record of 52 new ads come through for a total of 55 ads (3 that were already there). With the deliverance of the messenger service, the new ad program and the alert feature, users will be able to maximize their earning potential on even the short lived ads.

Expect to see some really fun referral contests coming, increased ads with the new ad program, other incentive opportunities and more. You also may start noticing the layout, colors, images, descriptions, help & support and other items throughout the website and program change as we try to ween our way out of the GPT industry and more into the secular, main stream marketing world where we hope to compete with other big advertising programs on the net.

By the way, the total of 55 ads from yesterday generated 14,000 clicks (approx $420).

Changes to Adbux

If anyone is wondering why they seem be getting less opportunities to click ads in Adbux at the moment, it is because there are some changes about to be made to the website. The advertising will soon be targeted so the advertiser can choose which members can view the advertisement according to the country that they reside in. I think that a lot of advertisers are waiting for this new system to ocme into effect before they buy more advertising on the site. I am not sure how this will effect members. I assume that members form the USA are likely to see the largest amounts of advertisements. However, as I have lots of referrals, hopefully some of them are based in the USA and so they will click those advertisements. This new system should have come into effect a few weeks ago, hopefully it will be live soon.

In addition there will soon be a feature where members can send emails to their referrals. This can be used to encourage those inactive members to become active or to thank those members that are active. This facility will only be available to premium members.

How My Perceptions Have Changed

It is amazing how quickly things have moved on with my money making. When I first started, I got excited it I found a penny on the street. Now I would still pick it up, but put it into the children's money box instead of putting it into my million fund. I spend my first month being happy at every extra cent I managed to earn and although there is nothing wring with that, I have moved on from there. I have now managed to find ways to earn money which are much more productive and my earnings have increased from £11.99 in my first month to over £300 so far this month. I am now feeling really positive that I can make a good income out of earning money online. I am now making less mistakes with my investments too which is fantastic. it has been a great learning experience for me.

Great Change to Smorty

Smorty have improved their site by sending out emails when you have a new opportunity. this means that instead of checking the site regularly to see if there are new paid blog articles to write, you can now check your email instead. You will have to be quick in responsing to the emails though - as I gather that the opportunities get snapped up very quickly.

Munny4Hunny is a blog which centers around the authors quest to make money online. It has useful articles which describe how they are making money so that you can follow suit should you wish. There are some sponsored posts on the site too. I used to hate these on blogs but now I realise that it is great way to get some extra money and any experienced reader of blogs will easily be able to spot a paid post. I like the way the blog is written - it is friendly and helpful. I particularly like the part which says how much money has been earned so far - I think I might copy that and put it on my blog! The site has a few advertisements on it but I think they tend to brighten up the layout rather than spoiling it, which haveing too many adverts can tend to do. Overall I would say a blog well worth reading!

The blog seems to be updated regularly and contains articles by ex-drug addicts. It would certainly provide hope to anyone in despair, thinking they are alone in their addiction. I have recently come across an interestingw ebsite for bloggers. It is called Reviewback.com. The aim of the site is that fellow bloggers can review each others blogs and therefore provide awareness of other similar blogs as well as increasing page ranking by having more links to their site. This seems like a great alternative to just swapping links. I find that my links list is getting far too long and I cannot imagine anyone really scanning through to see if anything interests them.

Marketing Pond

I was not sure when I first joined Marketing Pond, I wasn't sure how worthwhile joining would be and figured I would sign up and see what happened. I have advertised the site briefly on my blog and on one other website and already have 10 referrals, one of which has signed up to all of the programs that I joined through Marketing Pond. This is definately a great way to get referrals.

Review Me

Review Me is turning out to be a great site. I have been a member for a just a few days and already they have offered me four opportunities to write paid blog article. For two of them I was paid $5 each, for one I was paid $7.50 and for the last I was paid $25. Payments are actually sent out on the first of the month, so I have not yet received my earnings. On average this is probably the same as most other similar sites, but having never had the opportunity to earn $25 for writing just 200 words before, I am finding the site rather exciting!

Pay To Click

There are so many Pay to Click sites appearing at the moment is is pretty difficult to decide which one to join. After the rapid growth of Adbux everyone seems to want to jump on the bandwagon. I have even considered starting up a site myself. However, I think that trying to compete with a site which has over 200,000 members, a well established forum and a popular owner, woudl be very difficult indeed. I have joined a few of the other sites, but found none of them as enticing and addictive as Adbux, although Clixsense comes pretty close. They seem to have a lot more adverts to click but the referral scheme is not so attractive (at the moment you just get paid 10 cents per referrals and $5 if they upgrade, plus 10% of anything they spend on advertising, as opposed to Adbux offering 100% of what they earn and bonuses when the upgrade and buy referrals.)

I have been Paid

I have been paid by A Pair Of today. On the 25th I requested payout from all of the sites that I was above minimum payout for and this site was the first to pay me. I didn't make that much in the month - just £1.32 (after the Paypal fee) but I hardly did any work to earn this. As I begining to find ways to make higher amounts of money I am starting to abandon the sites which are earning me less. However, I do find that clicking links or reading emails can be a great way to pas stime while watching the TV or sitting in the boys bedroom at 3am waiting for them to go back to sleep!

Getting Paid to Blog

A friend has just asked me how I get paid for writing articles on my blog. I therefore thought it woudl be useful for her and my other readers if I explained in more detail. There are quite a few sites that I have come across which offer to pay you for writing articles. You always need to regeister with the site and put in the details of your blog. They will then let you know if they approve your blog. Once your blog has been approved you can start writing articles. You are usually given a bried summary of what to write about as well as some links and sometimes pictures to include as well. Most sites state that you have to say the article has been sponsored and you have to keep the articles permenantly on your blog. They all work slightly differently.

Pay Per Post
I have so far been paid £56.51. With this site you can be paid from $5 per article and you can do up to 3 a day. You can look through the opportunities that you are qualified to do. You have to wait 30 days for payment on this site and your blog has to have been online for 90 days before they will consider it.

With this site you ave to state how much you are prepared to be paid per article. I set my level at $10 - this means that I actually get paid $6.50 per article I write after the site have taken their cut. With this iste it is up to you to look through the advertisers and select any you want to write articles for and they will come back to you if they want you to write the article. I have been paid £39 by them in total.

Smorty
This is one of the easiest sites in that you log in and it lists any opportunities available to you. I have been paid £14.40 so far.

Blogitive
This website is very similar to Smorty. I have been paid £5 so far. Payments are made weekly.

Bloggerwave
This site is very similar to Pay Per Post. However, I have not had many opportunities from them. I was paid very quickly though. I have been paid £10.

Blogsvertise
This site emails when you have a new opportunity to do. I have not yet been paid by them. All opportunities seem to pay around $10.

Review Me
I only joined this site yesterday. It seems topay about $5 per review.

Adbuddy.net

I have just come across a new PTC site. It is very similar to Adbux but as it is being advertised on Marketing Pond it gives me faith that this is a serious site. The site is called Adbuddy.net. You earn 1 cent per click and 1 cent per click that your referrals make. You can upgrade your membership and get 1.5 cents per click plus comission if your referrals upgrade or buy advertising.

Another Adbux Payment

Today I received my third payment from Adbux today. I have now earned over $30 from them. I have paid $20 to upgrade my membership, which means that I now earning more money per click and I will receive bonus payments when my referrals upgrade, buy referrals or buy advertising. I decided thatto take full advantage of this I needed more referrals, so I have bought 3 sets of referrals costing a total of $120. I am confident that I will make my money back within a few months, especailly as Adbux are soon introducing a messaging service where you can email your referrals. This means that I will be able to hopefully explain the benefits of upgrading and buying referrals to anyone who is considering it and hopefully help them out with any queries they may have about teh site in general.

Text Link Ads is a great site which I read about in the John Chow article I promoted in my previous article. All you have to do is add a small piece of html code into your blog. Then up to ten advertisers can place text link advertisements on your blog. All negociations are done through the website and you can opt to leave everything fully automated. This means that once you place the code on your blog you need do nothing more. How much you get paid per advertisement will depend on the attractiveness of your blog - this is determinded by your google rank and alexa rating as well as other measures of the popularity of your blog. You will be paid between $2.50 and $10 per link ad depending on how much the advertisers are prepared to pay for a spot on your blog.

johnchow.com is a great money making blog. John Chow makes a great income from his blog (apparantely made over $11,000 in April). The money just seems to be flying in this month. I guess I am more motivated now that I have organised my bathroom refit and really need the money to pay for it. Do you get annoyed that you keep missing the adverts on Adbux? because there are so many members of the site and some of the adverts only have 100 hits, they disappear extremely quickly. A good way to increase your chances of being paid for these adverts is to have lots of referrals. Marketing Pond

I have had my second payment by Smorty.com. Smorty is a site where you get paid for writing blog articles. I received $22.80 earlier in the month for 4 articles that I had written for them. Yes, I agree it is a bit strange me writing a post on getting a stair lift. However, as I have a found a site that sell cheap stairlifts, I thought they may be some of you out there, interested in saving a bit of money when purchasing one. Adbux Referrals

I just couldn't resist buying some more Adbux referrals yesterday. I had some dollars in my Paypal account - enough to buy one set of 25 for $39.95 and decided to give it a go. I have just been paid $50 by AW Surveys. I am thrilled because I was not sure if the site was a scam, but it obviously is not. The site had been experiencing surver problems and was down for a long time which is why I was cautious. But when it came back I thought that I woudl give it a go as it seemed so easy to earn money. I earned $26 by doing some surveys and the rest of my earnings were from signing up referrals ($1.25 per referral). I traded in some credits on some PTC sites that I was a member of in exchange for promoting my referral URL as well as promoting it on my blog and it has been well worth it. There is one disadvantage in cashing out by Paypal. You have to earn $75 and they take a $25 fee for Paypal payments. That is massive, I agree, but as I earned more than the $25 doing thee asy surveys I was quite happy with that cut.

Fummo - seems like a scam

I do like to give new sites the benefit of the doubt but I think I have been patient with this iste for long enough. I have therefore decided to stop promoting it. The reasons for my mistrust are as follows. When I joined in pre-launch it was advertised that on 20th May you woudl get $5 per referrals. Once the site launched they changed the rules to say that your referrals needed to complete an offer in order for you to be paid. I could see why they needed to do this as they would never have survived if they had paid out that much money on their launch date. I signed up to one of their advertised offers. I had to pay $1.95 to join up and it was advertised that I woudl receive $110 for joining up. I felt that it was worth the risk. It is a month later and I have still not been paid - despite emailing them proof that I completed the offer in full and emailing then every week since. I have not had any replies form my emails. I am therefore going to stop promoting them and would like to apologise to anyone that I referred and lost money. I spent $100 on 50 referrals thinking that I would get $250 back. I knew it was a risk but I am still disappointed that they haven't even answered my emails or at least paid me for the offer that I completed.

Snowclicks

Just to confirm that Snowclicks now has 11 pay to Signup opportunities as well as lots of link exchange credits to earn. There also some Pay to Click and Pay to Read adverts to click and you can sign up to be paid to read emails. New Features on Snowclicks

Snowclicks PTC has got a great new feature. You can now earn money by joining sites. For every site that you sign up to, you can earn 10 cents. It is also a great way of getting referrals for sites that you already belong to. It costs just $2 to get 10 signups which is very cheap indeed. Unfortunately UK Paypal is down at the moment so I cannot purchase any adverts. However, as soon as it comes up I will be buying some, so there should be a good few to click.

I have been paid by Adbux

I have just received my second payment from Adbux. This one came about a lot more quickly that the first one as I have bought some referrals and upgraded my membership. This means that I earn more per click and I have more people working to earn for me.

I am considering buying lots more referrals and I think I would have bought 10 sets (250 referrals) on Friday from the Adbux site if I did not need to take the money from my doubling account to may for my bathroom. I have calculated that with that many referrals I could probably make about $8 a day. Adbux does seem to be the site that is making me the most money from my referrals earnings at the moment which is why I am keen to get more referrals.

Berrymails Payment

I have just been paid $3 by Berrymails. This takes my total web earnings this month so far to £238.41 which will make June by far my best month so far. The sponsored blig articles as well as the large Quidco payment have really helped boost my earnings.

Adbux

I decided to buy some Adbux referrals as I really need to increase my earning potential on the iste. I have a theory that by buying referrals from Adbux (these are members who have not signed up under a referral, so Adbux sell them) that because they have signed up already they are more likely to be active, than buying referrals from a companythat offer people money to sign up. People are likley to sign up for the money and never look at the website they have signed up to again. Only time will tell whether this theory is true.

So how well have my referrals been doing? I paid $80 for 50 referrals. About 1 day since purchasing them I have made $1.80 from them. At this rate it will take me just over a month to make my money back. However, as a premium member of adbux, I will also get a bonus if any of my referrals upgrade their membership or if any of them buy referrals. Hopefully some might decide to do this and I will get a nice cash bonus.

Adbux Clone

Just to warn you that there is an Adbux clone site out there. It is called bux.to and looks exactly the same as Adbux. I have just been on the Adbux forum and the admin have stated that the site is nothing to do with them and it is an infringement of copyright. Marketing Pond

I have just joined up with Marketing Pond. I had avoided joining up before as I thought it looked complicated and I couldn't work out how it all worked. But now that I understand I thought it might be useful to explain it!

Once you have opened your account you are given a list of about 30 websites, including adbux, clixsense, linkgrand and agoloco. You are requested to enter your referral code for each of the website, in the dedicated space. If you are not a member you are encouraged to join up. The reason for doing this is that everytime you get a referral for Marketing Pond and they decide to join any of the listed websites, they will join under your referral, as long as you have provided one. This means that rather than advertising lots of sites singularly, you can advertise your Marketing Pond referral link and will be advertising all of the listed sites that you have provided your referral ID for.

PTC Advertising

I do not really have much faith in PTC sites from an advertisers point of view. I know that a lot of people do not look at the advertisements so unless you have a unique splash page I assumed no one would take any notice. However, I have been proved wrong. Some of the sites that I am a member of, I decided to use my cash balance for advertising rather than waiting until I reached minimum payout and taking the money. These were mainly PTC sites and I have also bought some advertising on some of the new sites I have joined to support my friend who started them up. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was getting click throughs on my advertisements and also that I am getting referrals. I do advertise on my blog, of course, so there is no certainty that the advertising is where the new signups are coming from but it seems too much of a coincidence to me. Getting Referrals

I have been finding it increasingly difficult to find referrals for PTC sites. I think that the reasons fo rthis are that the very popular sites have lots of members so the chances of building a massive downline is difficult unless you get in when the sites first start. I have therefore joined a couple of new sites which I think will really take off and am trying to get referrals. If you think that this is a good idea then please sign up with these new sites: Golddiggerptc, Snowclicksptc, dreamclix. The first two companies are offering great advertising deals - I have already noticed an increase in my adsense earnings since advertising my blog on them.

Cahback sites

I now belong to three cashback sites. I am really suprised that not many of my readers have signed up to them as they are fantastic. quidco.com costs £5 a year (taken form your earnings) and pays really high percentages of cash back. Free Fivers and Money Back madness offer smaller percantages of cashback but theydo have a wider range of company and do not charge you. I use a combination of all ofthee because not only does it mean that there is more chance of me finding the shop that I am buying from, but they all have sites that you can earn from each day by searching on. They pay a lot better than clicking one cent links.

Ways of Earning Online

I started off earning online by using my own website. Then my sister introduced me to eBay - which I found to be fantastic. I then tried Amazon and other auction sites. I changed my website and made a few more. I have recently tried lots of money making ideas out. But I have still found that ebay has been the best for me. I think because they do so much advertising I get loads of visitors to my online shop without any effort by me at all. I have found that online money making sites only work well if you have lots of referrals and this means that you have to pay to advertise it yourself. This has paid off for me a bit but I find that people soon get bored with a site so you have to continuously recruit new people and therefore keep spending any money that you are making. There must be a better way to earn money....

I have tried contacting mylot several times but have had no response with regards to the fact that I cannot log into my account. I tried to open a new account but within a few days I could not log into that one either. There seem to be several members that this has happened to as well. There is speculation that it is due to uploading the same photographs too many times - which is something that I did, not realising that it was against the rules. So if any of you are expecting to hear from me on the site, unfortunately it looks like I will not be posting on it again. Money saving Tips - Mortage

Lots of have mortgages thinking that they are a great way to invest money. However, you tend to pay back at least 3 times the amount you borrowed by the time you have paid off the loan(depending on the interest rate, term and amount that you borrowed). This means that there is a good reason to try to save money. I have therefore decided to pay off my mortgage early. I therefore pay not only the interest payments each month but also overpay some money and I invest some money. This means that if my stocks and shares ISA does not do that well, I know I have some money safe (and offset against the mortgage) to help pay it off. You need to be careful in looking at offset mortgages as the interest rates can be higher and you could end up paying large fees for the privilage of paying it off early. We currently pay over £1000 towards our mortgage in interest, investments and paying off the loan. This means that once it is paid off we will have an extra £1000 a month to play with. The thought of this is great inspiration to keep working at paying it off.

I have joined a new PTC site today. As it is new, there are not many members yet, so it is a great chance to join and sign up referrals before everyone else starts promoting it. The site is called Snow Clicks PTC and you can earn by clicking links, reading ads and receiving paid email (this is an opt in thing so you will not get loads of emails). Payments are made to egold or Paypal and the minimum withdrawal amount are $0.50 for eGold and $0.02 for Paypal. Wordlinx seems to be improving

When I first joined Wordlinx there seemed to be a lot of adverts to click. But then tere seemed to be none for days. Then there seemed to be lots on a Sunday, a few on a Monday and none fo rthe rest of the week. However, things have changed this week and I have been finding that there have been new adverts every day and when I have checked teh site several times a day there always seem to be new adverts to click. The adverts pay between 1 and 5 cents and you have to view them for 20 seconds.

Money saving Tips - Banking

We do not always make sure that the money we do have is working hard for us.

1. Look at your current account and make sure you are getting a good deal. Could you be getting more interest on your current account and is your overdraft rate competitive

2. Make sure that you are taking advantage of ISA's so that you are not paying unecessary tax on your investments.

3. Make sure that your mortagage rate is a good one - when choosing don't get tied into a company with a great initial rate but a high rate after a few years. Think carefully as to whether you want to pay your mortgage back early and how much money that might save you.

4. Try not to keep too much cash. It isn't secure and isn't earning any interest when it is in your purse. I do not even keep money in my children's money boxes - it goes straight into their trust funds.

5. When paying back debts make sure that you pay back the one with the highest interest rate first. You will pay back less interest in the long term that way.

Digital Photo Frames

The only way to view digital photographs used to be on the computer or once they were printed out. But now you can buy a digital picture frame. The idea is that you remove the memory card form your camera and put it in the frame. It then displays your didgital photograph or you can have several pictures rotating in the frame at a time you specify with a transition of your choosing.

This means that you can show your pictures to people more easily or even display them on your walls or on a side table.

Frames can be acrylic or wooden and come in a range of colours and sizes to suit all tastes and budgets. Could be an interesting present for a proud father/grandfather for father's day or just a great 'toy' for gadget lover or photographer.

With fuel prices constantly rising it is great to try to save some money on fuel. I habe managed to cut my fuel bills by almost 50% this year. This ws because we bought a hybrid car which has been a fantastic spend. But there are other ways you can cut down which are not quite so drastic.

Money saving Tips - Groceries

It is very easy to overspend on groceries. As we feel they are an essential item it does not seem so bad when we spend lots of money on them. However, costs can really creep up.

5. Make sure that you make full use of any coupons or loyalty cards that you have. Also if there is a buy one get one free or similar deal on things you regularly buy - get a few in but make sure you ar enot tempted to buy things you do not need.

Money saving Tips - Water

This may not be so useful to anyone paying a standard water bill but anyone on a meter could benefit from these tips.

1. Get a water hippo for your toilet cistern so you use less water per flush. You can make one from aplastic bottle or get them free from the Severn Trent website. I have ordered 3 - one for each loo and they seem great so far. the website has lots of water saving tips on it too.

2. Do not let the tap run when brushing your teeth

3. Have showers rather than baths (but remember a power shower can use a much water as a bath)

4. Wash the car with a bucket and sponge rather than a hose. If using a hose do not leave it switched on unecessarily

5. Make sure the dishwasher and wahsing machine are full when you use them and when replacing them buy water saving models or ones with water saving options.

Money saving Tips - Electricity

I have decided that it might be useful to write a series of money saving tips sections. It is great to earn more money but it is also useful to save some as well.

With electricity costs so high at the moment it is always useful to be abl eto cut costs a bit. I have just had my monthly payments reduced from £52.50 to £40. This is partly to do with the recent price cuts, but also because I have been using less electricity. A list of the things I have been doing are below:

1. Replaced all of the lightbulbs that I could with energy saving ones

2. Making sure appliances and lights were switched off when no one is in the room (and not left on standby overnight)

3. Making sure the dishwasher is full before it is put on

4. Turning the heating down by 1 degree and incresing the amount of loft insulation by 3 times

5. washing at only 30 degrees (plus buying the most energy efficient appliances that I could)

MyLot

For some reason I have not been able to sign into MyLot for the last few days. I have contacted themto ask why but had no response. Therefore I have opened a new account with them. This means that I have lost my 43 referrals and the $12 that I earned last month. I am not sure why they closed my account. I had a warning form them a few months ago about rule breaking (I didn't realise I was doing it) and I have been good ever since. It is possible they may close my new account as well so I am not going to use it that much for a few days just in case I am wasting my time.

Smorty

I have been having lots of sucess from earning through getting paid to blog. I have therefore signed up to a new get paid to blog site called Smorty. You have to log in to see a list of potential opportunities. You then select any that you are interested and they are reserved for you, for 72 hours. This means that you do not need to write the article immediately, which is an advantage over some other sites. It is also a good chance for anyone who wants to advertise on a blog as they can get bloggers to write articles about their company / products. The payments that bloggers can get seem to be very competitive with other similar paid for blogging sites. Payment is weekly by Paypal only. Articles must be between 150 and 400 words and be written using correct grammar. The article must be left up on your blog permenantly. The rules seem straight forward and pretty much the same as similar sites. The thing that I like the best is that you get paid weekly - much quicker than with other blog for money sites.

A New Click Site

There is a new click site called Dream Clix. It is set to be the new Adbux and pays you 40% of your referral earnings. It is a great chance to signup referrals before it launches as if it is sucessful then everyone will be talking about it and getting referrals and it will harder to find people who are not already signed up.

Begware has an advertising lottery

Begware has an interesting advertising lottery. You can buy one entry for the lottery for $1. Then the winner gets advertising to the value of the advertising purchased on the website for that week. I thought it was an interesting idea, although I have not taken part! They also have some interesting advertising deals at the moment.

I have beem paid by RNS Topfuel

I have just been paid by RNS Topfuel. They pay 1 cent per email that they send. You have to click through the link in that email and then do a search on the search engine that appears.

I use to get about 50 emails a date hence my payment this month of £4.21. (They pay in dollars to Paypal). Lately I have not ben receiving many emails from then but it seems, from the emails I have been getting from the admin, that this is a temporary glitch.

Adbux

I seem to get such a thrill from Adbux. I am not sure what it is as you would not think that clicking on a link in order to view an advert for 30 seconds and earn 1 cent woudl really be exciting, but somehow it is. I think it is to do with the fact that there are not that many opportunities to click ads on Adbux. You are almost guaranteed to get about 10 a day but apart from that you have to be really quick to get others. As there are so many members the adverts do not stay live for long as the advertisers 'clicks' are used up in seconds. Therefore it is rather like a detective game trying to guess when as advert might appear and trying to click it before it expires.

June sees the launch of Adbux premium membership, where premium members get great opportunities like getting paid 1.5x for each advert they and their referrals click. They will also have access to a forum and will have other advantages over standard members. I felt it was well worth upgrading and now I am being paid 1.5x extra per click, I find I get an even greater buzz from clicking the ads!

getting paid for Surveys

There are lots of advertisements on the Internet for gettig paid to do surveys. they seem to have a charge and so I steer clear of them. I assume that they give a list of sites that you can make money from by doing surveys. well, I am going to recommend a couple of sites to you for free!

The first site is YouGov and it has really interesting surveys, usually about current affairs. They pay from £0.50 per short survey and I usually get a few a week. They pay out when you reach £50. It does take a long time to earn but they are an honest site and the surveys are fun.

The other site that I use a lot is Ciao. This site is predominantly a site for members to write reviews on items and they can earn money depending on how many people read and rate their reviews. However, they also have a survey section where you can earn various amounts of money by doing surveys about goods. They payout when you reach £5.

I am pretty sure that these sites do have international sites so they are not just open to UK members only.

Clixsense

Clixsense has some interesting incentives this month for signing up referrals. Not only do you get $5 for each of your referrals that upgrades to being a premium member, and 10% of anything they spend on advertising, you also get $0.10 per member that you sign up. This is pretty good. I can buy referrals for $0.20 from Buyrefs or for $0.30 from My Free Shares (where you also get to shares when you purchase advertising and those shares earn you a small income).

As you can see I kept spending to minimum this month. I gambled some money as I will get back more in cashback than I spent on betting. I also bought some referrals for Mediadollarz but that was all. My earnings were not too good either but I am hoping that it will be a lot higher next month as I need all the money I can get for my bathroom refurbishment. I am expecting over £100 from Quidco in June as well as $7.50 from mediadollarz referral competition. I should also get over $100 for sponsored blog articles.
