This makes a grand total of £383.26 which is a bit disappointing. I was hoping for more this month despite August being quiet. I have just started an Open University course and hope that this will not interfere too much with my earning potential as the children will be at playgroup in the mornings which will free up a little bit of time for me.

It is a database so you can either search by number or you can look up numbers by area code. It is great way of finding out whether other people are experiencing the same problems as you.

It must be a day for getting paid - I have just been paid by Wordlinx. A PTC which pays within a few days of requesting payment - pretty impressive I would say! They pay $0.01 per click and 10% of your referrals earnings. However, if a referral upgrades you get $5, which is what happened to me last week and is why I managed to reach the $10 minimum payout amount for the third time and cash out.

A Payment from DNeero

I have just had my first payment from DNeero. I had only just reached the minimum payment amount today and the payment was sent, which was fantastic, much better than the usual services of this sort of company. I you are interested in knowing more about them, they are a company which pays you to answer surveys and post the results on your blog. The survey had to be posted on your blog for 10 days and receive traffic for 5 of those days to earn you money. It sounds complicated but it is very easy. You can even paste them on your Facebook page or website, should you wish to. It is well worth taking a look, especially if you like survey sites.

Spending Spree

Well I went on a little spending spree yesterday and after saving money for so long it was lots of fun. I bought myself a new top for a party am going to soon. I also bought my husband a couple of smart/casual shirts to wear when he has casual days at work and for the party as well. I bought the children some shirts for the party as well as some new t-shirts as they are growing out of theirs. We also had lunch out - well a take out sandwich from Marks and Spencer. It was nice to do some shopping but it has got me thinking about other new clothes that I want which is a bit dangerous...

August So Far

August is often a slow month business wise. It used to be a great time to find stock for my book business as outdoor sales used to have a lot but with the weather as it has been lately there have been less of these sales. I have also found that second hand books just do not sell so well any more. The new book sales are doing as well as normal, which is not brilliant either. I have been lucky to have quite a few article writing jobs but my weeks holiday, although I did work every day, meant that I got a bit behind and it looks like my profits for August will not be brilliant. We will just have to see how the rest of the month goes.

I have decided to give up on certain Pay to Click sites. I have been lucky to find quite a few new writing assignments lately and have also signed up for an Open University course. Therefore I need to make sure that the work that I do is the best use of my time. pay to Click takes a long time and several of the companies that I was once a member of seem to be no more. I have therefore wasted a lot of time for nothing. I will keeping with some until I reach payment and then stopping and also reporting when I get paid so that my readers can still be informed as to which sites are still paying.

Entrecard Experiment

I used all of my Entrecard credits to buy advertising in the end rather than running a competition. I decided that it might be a better way to promote the website. I started with the cheapest sites in the make money on line category and kept buying until I ran out of credits. I ended up with about 750 adverts which will run over the next few weeks I think. It will be interesting to see how it effects the traffic to my website.

WOW, Immediate Payment from a PTC Site

I am so impressed. I have just requested a payment from Neobux and the payment arrived in my Alertpay account immediately. I have heard stories before of this happening but until I saw it for myself I didn't quite believe it. I clicked the request payment button selected whether I wanted Alertpay or Paypal and confirmed my email. Waited for it to confirm the payment and on checking my email I had a message from Alertpay saying I had a new payment. I am well impressed!

Entrecard - My Opinion

I have been using Entrecard for about 3 weeks now. I have found that it has certainly increased the traffic to the two blogs that I have the widget on and my Alexa ranking has increased on both sites too, which is great. My Adsense clicks seemed to have increased t start with but have now gone back to the normal amount - I think that what I thought was a result of Entrecard initially was just the result of stumbling the sites, as this seemed to have a huge effect. It is nice to be getting more comments on my sites. On the downside it does take quite a lot of my time as I like to drop my favourite sites each day as well as everyone who dropped my site the day before. Then I like to drop other sites in my category. I will keep going for now and monitoring but I am not sure whether to pursue it on both of my blogs. I would like to find out whether it effects my page rank although I know that this blog is unlikely to get any page rank in the future due to having sponsored posts on it. My other blog has not yet got page rank so it will be interesting to see whether the traffic helps it to get a good ranking, as I think it deserves it as all of the content is relevant and there are hardly any links out.

Entrecard Toolbar - My View

I did wonder whether installing the Entrecard Toolbar would be worthwhile as I had to go through the hassle up upgrading my Firefox browser to version 3 (it only works in this). In fact it was a fantastic move. The new Firefox version seems great and the Entrecard Toolbar is fantastic. If you are addicted to dropping, like me, then you will find it unbelievably useful. Not only will it automatically load in your favourite sites, it will also load in the most popular, newest, cheapest, most expensive, most expensive or a random site from any category of your choice. You can load wither one site or ten at a time and you can even load the sites from your drops inbox. It really speeds up the dropping process and I would recommend it to every Entrecard user.

A Lucky Penny??

While out walking this morning the sun caught something on the ground and it shone really brightly. As we got nearer I saw that it was a penny and my son picked it up and gave it to me to hold. The way the sun had caught it made it look like lost treasure and I wondered why no one else had picked it up and whether perhaps there was some hidden luck in getting it.

When we got home my son asked me for his coin, so I gave it to him. Then I heard him choking and asked if he was okay. He came to me and explained that the penny made him cough and then went into his tummy. Lucky or not?...I'll let you decide!

I am happier with my total earnings this month of £514.23. I spent just £5.17 on a monthly subscription to eLance which was where I got a great writing job. I have another one lined up which I will get paid for in August.
