Lose Weight and Save Money

It seems so silly to me that people spend so much money on losing weight. I have lost three stone recently and feel so much better for it. I didn't look for the best weight loss product but I just ate more healthily, cut own my portion sizes and increased my exercise. It was hard work and at times my weight went up instead of down, but now I have achieved it, I feel fantastic and proud that I did it all by myself without the help of a pill or product. I am sure the products are good for some people, but for me they are just not what I was looking for. I also feel that I saved myself lots of money by not paying for expensive weight loss products.

Mortgage Repayments

My husband has decided to decorate the whole of the house and so I will not be making any big mortgage repayments for a while. The paint and things was not that expensive but we have decided to redesign each room as we go. We have bought lots of storage boxes to store things under beds and in the attic so things are not so cluttery. We will probably buy some pieces of furniture and then add to those as we get more money. I need new cutains as well and the type of ones that I like are expensive, so I will either have to learn how to use a sewing machine very quickly or pay a lot of money for them.

Toy Clearout

I have been sorting out all the children's toys recently. We have decided to decorate the whole house and their room was the first one that we did. We have decided to turn their playroom into a TV room / sitting room and so want to keep the toys elsewhere so that they can just get them out when they need them. We have put them into storage boxes under their bed and in their bookcase in their bedroom. It is really great to have them all upstairs and looks really neat. I just worry what will happen when it is their birthday and they get loads more toys and I have no where to put those! I guess I should just thank myself lucky that they do not have a playstation 3 or something like that, computers and associated games as that woudl take up even more space!

Low Prices

It is a realy good time to be buying things at the moment. I am decorating my house and we have managed to get quite a bit of teh equipment at cheap prices. Obviously if you are struggling oney wise, then the cheap prices of luxury items is not something that you want to take advantage of. However, if you are lucky, like we are and taking advantage of the low interest rates then you should be looking around to see what is cheap. Everything from household items to clothes, from plus size babydolls to shoes seem to be reduced if you look around hard enough. It is well worth comparing some prices to find out how much money you can save.

Writing

I earn money writing about some strange things. I do not mind really as having new things to write about makes it more interesting. I have recently been writing about soccer trophies and display cases and I really know nothing much about them at all. Still it is all appreciated by the customer and brings in the money that I need to pay off the mortgage.

More Money Off the Mortgage

I paid £1000 off the mortgage again yesterday, which was fantastic. We have about a quarter of it paid off now, which is a step in the right direction. We are going to be doing some decorating in the house soon and have seen lots of lovely furniture that we want and so we will have to be really careful to try to keep it to just a lick of paint a few select items. We will have to just add slowly to the new things that we want. We need a new bed and I have seen the most comfortable looking one I have ever seen for about £4000!! I have been advised to get the most expensive one that I can afford and this is it but it depends when our current bed collapses!

Health costs

I am beginning to get quite concerned about the health of my mother and mother-in-law. Although they are okay at the moment, they have both had health problems recently. It has not only made me worry about my health but also got me thinking of the possible future costs. My parents are not that well off and if they need health care then it might mean that I can have to help out. Luckily there are not too many nasty illnesses in my Fathers family but my Mum has Diabetes and heart problems as well as high blood pressure. My mother in law also has heart condition but we have no idea whether there are any other nasty illnesses in the family such as Mesothelioma cancer or kidney problems because she is adopted. I guess we will just have to be prepared for everything and hope that they will all be okay.

Doing Up the House

I have been thinking about what I would like to do to the house when we have paid off the mortgage. It is going to be a good while yet but a TV program that I was watching showed someone doing up a house and it was very inspiring. Me and my husband started planning what we want to do and it seems like it probably won't be as expensive as I might have thought. We want everything done from garden to attic and want to buy all new things from tv stand to sofa. It is very exciting and I am sure that we will change our minds about it a few times before we do it, but it is good fun planning and makes me want to work even harder to get that mortgage paid off.

Buying Bargains

If you have your own business then you will more than aware of the regulations with regards to health and safety. Buying all of the necessary equipment that you need can be really expensive and so it is important to shop around for a bargain. At the moment many businesses are struggling and they are desperate to sell so search around for a bargain such as this Philips Heartstart Onsite. You should be able to find a good few companies with sales on and that will help you to save some money.

Gift Ideas

It is my sisters and my Aunts birthday tomorrow - on the same day as mine. It is always a job to know what to buy them. I plumped for some plus size lingerie for my Aunt. It sounds odd but she is old and doesn't get out much and so appreciates help with buying things like that. My sister was harder as she is just moving house so doesn't want too much to have to move. I ended up buying her some work clothes as I know they will always be useful.

Saving Money

Well I am not in too good a mood today. My son is unwell so my birthday weekend away has had to be cancelled. I should be looking at it as a good thing as I have saved money. I got no present from my husband as he was going to take me out for a meal so we will save money there. We were going to take a steam train trip tomorrow so we will save money there and I was also going to go shopping today and get a new coat.I doubt we will even be bothering to make birthday cakes now because my son will probably not feel like eating any and as it was him that wanted them it seems a waste of time.

Expensive Weight Loss Pills

I am struggling to maintain my weight loss at the moment and really need to lose about 5 pounds before the last weekend of the month. After seeing all the advertisements for Alli around the high street I have been wondering whether there is a quick fix pill. However after reading things like Lipofuze reviews I realise that the pills may aid weight loss but they are not an easy answer. I think I would rather save my money and eat sensibly and exercise more. Hopefully, despite the fact that I will be eating out this weekend, I will be able to lose the weight that I need to as long as I stay firmly focussed on my goal.

I am thrilled with these earnings but have been working really hard again. I have a writing assignment which I want to complete by the end of May and it has been paying really well. The whole job is worth over £2000 and I have been paid for some of it and hope to get a further £1500 in May and I am sure there will be other jobs coming along too - there has been this month. I also paid a further £1000 off the mortgage now, so I have £1500 in the mortgage overpayment account after moving £20,000 into premium bonds.
