Business Insurance

I realise that in a previous post I mentioned that I did not have many overheads such as insurance. It occurred to me that I might be implying that everyone should go without insurance, but that was not the case.

It is important to have insurance in the right circumstances. I have no employees, my customers do not come on to my property and I sell nothing that would give me reason to be sued. I work from home, which is insured and so have no need to have business insurance. However, there are legal requirements to have certain types of insurance in place if you are a business and have your own premises separate to your house, have customers visiting and have employees. It is important to learn about these. These will be an overhead but it is worth looking at a selection of companies to see which can provide you with the cover that you need at a good price. You can learn more about e insurance and what it will cover you for on many websites and this will help you make sure that you are buying insurance that gives you the cover that you need, both legally and practically.
