Picking Carefully

I am always so grateful that I have a business that has very few costs. Last month I had no overheads at all apart form a few pounds for something that I sold on eBay. It is so useful in this economic climate to know that even if I do not get much work in, I do not have large expenses to worry about.

I know small companies that are having to pay rent and rates, employees salaries, work uniforms, travel expenses, insurance etc. There are always small costs as well which add up like postage and stationery and then there is stock. Since I stopped buying and selling, my postage and stock costs have almost vanished and it is such a relief. I feel like there is no pressure any more to have to make enough money to cover my costs as there are hardly any and that is the way that I like it.
